Guidelines for hearings held on the Ordre's premises
Guidelines for all participants
- It is forbidden to impede or restrict the free movement of persons in public areas by stopping in front of a person or obstructing his or her path.
Guidelines for media representatives
- No photos or videos may be taken or interviews held in the courtroom or in the parties' consultation rooms.
- It is forbidden to chase people with cameras or microphones in the waiting areas and corridors adjacent to the hearing room.
- No questions may be put to any member of the Disciplinary Council, to any of the lawyers and/or to any of the parties involved during the hearing.
Upon leaving the hearing room, however, it is permissible to ask a person whether he or she is willing to grant an interview.
Undertaking
Anyone attending a hearing undertakes to comply with the wording of the non-publication, non-disclosure and non-broadcasting orders issued at the hearing.
Guidelines for a virtual hearing
Before the hearing
- People wishing to attend the hearing virtually must request it at least 24 hours before the hearing. They will receive a confirmation e-mail with a Teams link to the hearing.

- For the public: fcastor@ordrepsy.qc.ca or cdecarie@ordrepsy.qc.ca
- People must log in to the Teams virtual waiting room no later than 15 minutes before the start of the hearing. They will then be admitted to the virtual room before the start of the hearing.
- People who are still in the waiting room at the start of the hearing will have to wait for a break to access the virtual room.
- No one will be admitted during the hearing.
During the hearing
- All persons present in the virtual room must keep their cameras and microphones turned off.
- It is strictly forbidden to record images, including screen captures, to broadcast a sound recording or images of all or part of the hearing, or to reproduce or communicate in any way whatsoever all or part of the images or sounds of the hearing.
Undertaking
Any person who participates virtually in a hearing undertakes to respect the wording of the non-publication, non-disclosure and non-broadcasting orders, as issued at the hearing.
