  • As a doctoral-level psychologist, I have completed 12 years of university-level training in psychology. My clinical and research training has focused on understanding the variables that make psychotherapy effective, so that I can deliver scientifically-based interventions in a flexible manner. This means that each client receives an individually-tailored treatment plan that is based on the best practice principles of psychology.

My passion is helping people to overcome anxiety disorders and depression, as well as helping them to better manage their anger, communicate more openly with others, and build long-lasting and fulfilling relationships.

After completing my PhD in psychology from McGill University, I founded a clinic called Blake Psychology, which specializes in helping teenagers and adults identify their core values and to live a fulfilling life according to those values.

I specialize in helping teenagers and adults overcome:

Stress and Burnout: Feeling overwhelmed, coping with specific problems or situations

Anxiety: Fears, excessive worrying, panic attacks, shyness or social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, hoarding, fear of being in public places

Depression: Feeling down, sad or depressed, loss of interest, guilt, low self-esteem

Anger: Difficulty expressing thoughts and feelings, losing one's temper

Interpersonal difficulties: Difficulties with friendships or relationships, family conflicts, identity concerns

I provide Group therapies and workshops for:
Shyness and social phobia: Learn strategies that will help you to feel more comfortable in social situations. This Group is Open for Registration!

Relaxation skills: Take time out from your busy schedule and practice relaxation techniques designed to reduce anxiety and stress and promote peace and tranquility.

Assertion skills: Empower yourself by learning how to recognize your needs and effectively express yourself to others.
  • Therapy is conducted in a warm and supportive atmosphere so that you can understand the origins of your suffering, and build on your existing strengths. I work collaboratively with clients to help them reduce their suffering, and to live a more satisfying life that is in line with their values.

I specialize in treating stress, anxiety, depression, and anger. Anxiety may involve worrying, muscle tension, irritability, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and panic attacks. Depression may involve negative thoughts, feeling down or bored, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, thoughts about death, etc. Successful anger management involves responding effectively to others, especially when feeling irritated.

The most effective treatment is the one that works best for you. My approach to therapy is collaborative and flexible. Therapy strategies will be tailored to meet your specific needs. The sooner you get help, the longer you will have to enjoy its benefits.
